About Me[edit]

Advanced in Astronomy

Arianewiki1 is an experienced astronomer / science educator interested in Wikipedia getting the astronomy right.

Arianewiki1 has taught and published astronomical material and has a good knowledge on specific topics including: astronomical history, double and multiple stars, open clusters, planetary nebulae, and broadly: stellar evolution, chemistry and physics — plasma physics.

Always willing to talk on astronomy and answer questions within my level of expertise.

Gender Identification[edit]

+This editor expects recognition as gender neutral

Arianewiki1 is a strong believer in editing in Wikipedia only as a neutral gender person. This is because my own experiences has found prevalent gender bias as revealed by some expectant atypical behaviours often exposed within this community.

I'm neither a she, he or it. I'm am ME, without being gender labelled.

Edit summaries[edit]

+This editor SOMETIMES writes Edit Summaries

As H:ES importantly says "It is not one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community." There is absolutely no justification to revert any edit just because it does not have an edit summary. Whilst I might hold this somewhat contraversial point of view, most editors are encouraged to provide some kind of edit summary wherever possible, if only to explain what you have done to other editors editorial changes.

When in doubt, some of my more useful comments and discussions will also often be placed on article talkpages or on my own talkpage.

French language[edit]

+This editor can read and write in FRENCH

Arianewiki1 can read, write and translate French astronomy articles
