I was born in South Africa, and have lived around the world: Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia), England, the United States of America, Australia, and the Netherlands. I have worked in the field of CAD (computer-aided design) software development, technical documentation, computer software support and currently translation of text of Dutch to English. My interests are geography, cartography, Google Earth, world affairs, AutoCAD, architecture, 20th century art, history (in particular of Rome), popular music, British and Italian motorbikes, and good food!
