The Dorsch Gallery (Miami)[edit]

Founded in 1991 on Coral Way in Miami, the Dorsch Gallery has exhibited over 200 artists in the past 17 years as well as has presented a wide range of group exhibitions and cultural events such as film festivals, concerts, and dance performances. The Gallery was originally located in a second floor loft apartment off of Coral Way and SW 13th Avenue in Miami, in the historic Parkway Drugs building. This small 500 square foot venue was the host to the first solo exhibitions for many of Miami's artists in the early 1990's. The gallery was well known for giving local artists their first exhibitions. In January of 2000 the Gallery moved to a large 7000 square foot warehouse in Wynwood_Art_District, one of the first galleries in the area, along with Locust Projects and the Bernice Steinbaum Gallery, and down the street from the Rubell Family Collection and the Marguiles Warehouse. The gallery's first opening exhibition in Wynwood was held March 3rd of the same year. Today, the Dorsch Gallery represents a pool of international artists who work in sculpture, painting, new media and performance.
