Hello Everybody.

I am a teacher at Tapton School, Sheffield. I keep an eye on the school's entry in Wikipedia and remove anything that seems insulting or just inaccurate. For this reason, I wish to remain incognito.

Pupils regularly abuse the open nature of Wikipedia and the following have been noted and removed in recent weeks:

nicknames for the Headteacher

scatological changes to the school's name

named teachers

named pupils

incorrect rendering of examination results

critical comments on school activities

If any changes are made that read well and are accurate, they stand a good chance of being left in as far as I'm concerned. That's assuming they are spelt correctly.

I had several (worse) jobs before entering teaching some years ago. My degrees are Biomedical Electronics and my second is a different subject with computer studies.
