The Chicago Roastery opened Friday, November 15, 2019.[1] The Starbucks Reserve Roastery measures at about 35,000 sq ft and is now the largest in the world. Inside the building are 56-foot-tall bronze-colored eight copper tubes that transport coffee beans from floor to floor.[2] Throughout the 5 floors, there is a theme and customers can find a variety of delicacies.[3] The first floor is the main floor for customers to grab coffee and treats to go, as well as souvenirs and fun merchandise.[4] On the second floor, guests may find a variety of well-made Princi pastries, fresh croissants, cannoli, cheesecakes, and other sweet tarts. Other foods like pastas and pizzas can be found on the same floor as well. [5] The third floor consists of barrels filled with Guatemalan cold brew and other delicious coffees. [5] On Floor 4, we have the Cocktail Bar, which serves a blend of classic favorites and new brews. The bartenders have access to plenty of ingredients and are able to incorporate and share their ideas with each other to create these popular beverages.[6] The fifth floor, the roof terrace, is currently unavailable until warmer seasons.[6]
