The groundbreaking ceremony for The Medical City Clark, which was attended by Philippine President Benigno Aquino III, took place on December 7, 2010. It was projected to be the second hospital in the Clark area and is intended by The Medical City (TMC) group to be their flagship hospital for the Central and Northern Luzon regions.[1] The hospital opened in January 2015.[2]

The hospital was designated as the official healthcare facility for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games which was hosted by the Philippines.[3]
