editions[edit]

This Dover Publication is the third (and out of print) of four editions of an evolving geometry study by architect, mathematician, and scientist, Robert Edward Williams. The first of four editions of his structural geometry research was published by the McDonnell Douglas Advanced Research Laboratories in 1969, under the title, Handbook of Structure. [1] In 1972, Eudaemon Press published Natural Structure: Toward a Form Language, [2] an expanded edition of the original Handbook of Structure. In 1978, Dover publications published the third edition titled, The Geometrical Foundation of Natural Structure, [3] in the “classical explanations of science” series. On the fortieth anniversary of the initial DARL publication, Eudaemon Press reprinted the commemorative 40th anniversary edition: The Geometry of Natural Structure: A Language of Form Source Book for Scientists and Designers. I moved this content to the talk Page. It's unacceptably expansive for a template expansion. I have the third edition (1979) and not seen other versions, and I don't know if pages are identical. If the new edition is identical, it ought to be substituted for the original reference. It is a bit confusing to have different names for the same book, assuming the contents are identical.
