Moorgate Branch[edit]

Why is the Moorgate branch drawn as if it has an in road and an out road? It is not like this at all, and is inconsistent with the rest of the diagram. Why not show the fast/slow track of the Midland Main Line, if you are going to do this. The note that states "Limited service" says enough in my view. Olana North (talk) 07:20, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's because only the eastbound platform at Barbican is used whilst westbound is not. It would be impossible to show the fast and slow tracks of the Midland Main Line as FCC on the Thameslink service use all four tracks for their services. This also goes for the ECML. It would be pointless. Simply south (talk) 08:16, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

== Sevenoaks (via Bat & Ball) & Ashford International (via Maidstone East) These need to be added to the template, as the are now part of the Thameslink service. Bhtpbank (talk) 10:14, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No that's completely wrong. You've failed to grasp that FCC & Southeastern are operating a joint service for the duration of the Thameslink Programme, as a result of Southeastern trains now having to continue onto FCC metals in order to turn back at Kentish Town or beyond. Trains are classified as an FCC service whilst north of Blackfriars, and as a Southeastern service whilst south of Blackfriars. The Thameslink service hasn't changed at all. Trains going to Orpington, Sevenoaks, Kent House and Beckenham Jn are still SouthEastern services, and still running on SouthEastern routes, regardless of the fact that they may be 319 stock with FCC drivers.
You may have noticed that those trains which start from an FCC station and travel to SouthEastern destinations appear in FCC timetables, but if you look carefully you will see that they are marked as JOINT FCC & SE services......and this is because they are classified as an SE service once they are south of Blackfriars, and are supervised by the SE control centre. Hope this helps, Fu Manchuchu (talk) 20:18, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Best diagram![edit]

Excellent symmetry as envisaged by the engineers and planners. Decent simplified sense of real direction. On that vein of thought, would it be feasible to have the bottom right direction arrow (continuation arrow) have a 45 or 90° curve to the east, as Dover is far east rather than south.- Adam37 Talk 10:50, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rainham branch[edit]

Should this also show the route via Greenwich to Rainham? I appreciate it could get complicated visually. Crookesmoor (talk) 09:35, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've added it to the diagram where it diverges at North Kent East Jn, but ideally the entire route should be added as a collapsible element at that point. I agree with you, a fourth route on the core diagram would be a mess. 80.189.147.236 (talk) 09:30, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have had trouble with aligning this section on two recent versions of Firefox- I had a go at a fix- but my skills are definitely pre 2011. Can I pass the problem over. --ClemRutter (talk) 11:16, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Quarry line[edit]

Diagram shows the line through Quarry Tunnel joining up north of Redhill. This is wrong. It should bypass Redhill and join up between Redhill and Gatwick Airport. 86.25.136.33 (talk) 13:41, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Diagram shows the line through Quarry Tunnel branching left from the line through Merstham Tunnel. This is wrong. The Quarry line branches right and crosses over the Merstham line north of the tunnels. 194.63.116.72 (talk) 15:31, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

 Fixed. Useddenim (talk) 12:03, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Missing/incomplete lines[edit]

  • Arun Valley Line to Horsham
  • Remaining stations on the Brighton mainline between East Croydon and Gatwick Airport
  • West Coastway line to Littlehampton and Oxted line to East Grinstead (worth adding in detail if they're peak-only Thameslink services?)
