Subst bug[edit]

Appears to create problems if placed unsubst'ed. See for example, User talk:Austronesier#Section move discussion for Caucasian race (perma) and click the [edit] link on that section. Adding BrandonXLF. Mathglot (talk) 05:30, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah the template is meant to always be substituted. I'll update the documentation, but I'm not sure if it's possible to generate an error when the template is not substituted. – BrandonXLF (talk) 06:42, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I made the mistake just now, so yes, while I apologize for not noticing the difference, I think this could keep happening if we don't somehow rule out the ability to place the template without an accompanying section header, or disallow un-subst-ed usage.
