Subst bug[edit]

Appears to create problems if placed unsubst'ed. See for example, User talk:Austronesier#Section move discussion for Caucasian race (perma) and click the [edit] link on that section. Adding BrandonXLF. Mathglot (talk) 05:30, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah the template is meant to always be substituted. I'll update the documentation, but I'm not sure if it's possible to generate an error when the template is not substituted. BrandonXLF (talk) 06:42, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I made the mistake just now, so yes, while I apologize for not noticing the difference, I think this could keep happening if we don't somehow rule out the ability to place the template without an accompanying section header, or disallow un-subst-ed usage.
