For anyone who is curious, the order of this template is generally chronological.

  • The first line of "People" (the slain missionaries) are listed by their arrival in Ecuador. Saint – 1948, Elliot and Fleming – February 1952 (both arrived at the same time, but Elliot is more prominent), McCully – December 1952, and Youderian – 1953.
  • The second line of "People" is roughly ordered by age and by prominence, but are also grouped by family.
  • "Places" are listed geographically from west to east.
  • "Books" and "Films" are strictly chronological.
