1939[edit]

I have changed 1939 from a red link to NH for (Not Held) as there was no 1939 championship according to the 1938 Championship article. Dunarc (talk) 20:06, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

not sure, it is correct. See link to PSA tour. Jmax (talk) 09:32, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. However complicates things further in that it has the 1938 winner as Abdelfattah Amr, but the article for 1938 Men's British Open Squash Championship gives Jim Dear as the champion and says Bey had retired. The list has Dear as the 1939 winner. Also their list starts in 1930 we have 1929 Men's British Open Squash Championship. I therefore wonder if their years relate to the tour years and so their 1939 tournament was the tournament held in December 1938 which is the one we have as the 1938 Men's British Open Squash Championship. Certainly later on we have some tournaments whose name is the previous year to the one they were actually plated in eg 1965 Men's British Open Squash Championship was played in December 1964.
