Color change[edit]

Recently a change has been made in the Drag Race progress tables, as mentioned in the discussion above. Right now, some of these page's templates aren't being used anymore due to the removal of the HIGH and LOW placements, duplicate placements, and the color and text change of some placements. I will probably change these templates soon so that they can be used again on the Drag Race season articles. -- Thijslandsmeer (talk) 08:57, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update Table Legend[edit]

@Another Believer, Germaperry01, Griffindaly, and Thijslandsmeer: I called the main contributors to the Drag Race project to discuss possible updates to the table, given the recent ediwar in tables that include an "All Stars / vs the Word" format.

As we know, this template allows for coding all placement types of the various editions; however, this template has not been updated since 2021, although there have been major changes within template creation (ex. the removal of HIGH/LOW, the "STAY" button for Lipsync Smackdown episodes, etc.).

Personally I say we need to discuss which buttons should remain, which ones should be removed and how to edit those dedicated to "AS and VsTW" formats avoiding this type of arguments in the changes (Obv I already rb all the mentioned changes).

Let me know your thoughts on this and let us consensually seek a solution that succeeds in encompassing all series. Dominikcapuan (talk) 18:18, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer, Germaperry01, Griffindaly, and Thijslandsmeer: I would like to call your attention to this discussion again since someone has changed the code dedicated to competitors finishing in the bottom. Previously venia viewed with the color "lightpink", while now it is represented by a dark red color that is confused with the current red "#E23D28" color used for eliminated contestants.
I have tried to solve the problem myself but, currently, I have not been able to find the page used to create the various boxes. So I ask someone more experienced to try to solve the problem and revert the original color of the box. I thank you in advance :) Dominikcapuan (talk) 09:59, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's been a while since I've contributed to any of this, but when we removed the HIGH/LOW etc. placements it was somewhere on Template:DragRace/color. I tried looking for where it was exactly, but I can't seem to find it.. Thijslandsmeer (talk) 11:34, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just as I found the solution, someone else fixed it. Should be good again! Thijslandsmeer (talk) 11:44, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, many placements have been added, just like the STAY one that you mentioned. Also, I would like to point out that, if it is somehow possible, every kind of placement should follow a similar color path. For example, the various WIN, TOP or TOP2 should be all in gradients of blue, with ELIM, BTM etc. in various type of red. Let me know if this is a good idea! Accessibility issue with this template[edit]

Hi @Germaperry01 the current choice of color for ELIMINATED and ELIM is inaccessible to some people as it doesn't meet Color contrast guidelines which means people with certain disabilities will not be able to read the popular pages it appears in.

Please consider changing "background: red" to "background: #f35959" or "color: #fff;background:#b30000". 🐸 Jdlrobson (talk) 22:24, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
