Wrong football link[edit]

link alias-football = Serbia {{{mw|}}} national {{{age|}}} football team

should be

link alias-football = Serbia and Montenegro national football team

at least for the men's senior team. Serbia and Montenegro national football team is different from Serbia national football team. And there are currently no women/underage articles for either name. jnestorius(talk) 09:14, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change navy template name to Federal Yugoslav Navy. Skjoldbro (talk) 19:15, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is that the best title to display? It does seem anachronistic to me. At present we have:
which, I agree, is less than ideal. Would it not be better, though, to use Navy of Serbia and Montenegro or create a redirect called Naval forces of Serbia and Montenegro, and use that here instead? --RexxS (talk) 23:44, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@RexxS: According to the article, the name of the Serbia and Montenegro navy is called Federal Yugoslav Navy. While that might be confusing for some (with SFR Yugoslavia's navy called the Yugoslav Navy), I think that we should have the most accurate name possible. Skjoldbro (talk) 10:03, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Skjoldbro: our article is not a reliable source and can't be counted on to determine "the most accurate name possible" - we need reliable sources for that. All of the sources in that section date from 1999 when the the the republics of Serbia and Montenegro had formed a reduced federation, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY). This was renamed in 2003 to the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro, which lasted until 2006 when the states separated into independent countries. The navy of Serbia and Montenegro was called the "Federal Yugoslav Navy" in 1999, but is that the most accurate we can get? --RexxS (talk) 10:21, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@RexxS: That is true, then wouldn't Navy of Serbia and Montenegro be the best course of action? Skjoldbro (talk) 10:36, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Skjoldbro: I honestly don't know what is best. Perhaps we ought to be asking the question at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Serbia and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Montenegro? In the meantime, I've made the change to Navy of Serbia and Montenegro. It can always be changed again if somebody comes up with something better. --RexxS (talk) 13:27, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please change basketball alias Serbia {{{mw|men's}}} national {{{age|}}} basketball team → Serbia and Montenegro {{{mw|men's}}} national {{{age|}}} basketball team
It did exist for a few years, http://archive.fiba.com/pages/eng/fa/p/tid/92330/_//teams.html --Pelmeen10 (talk) 06:33, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Remove:
flag alias-2004=Flag of Serbia and Montenegro (WFB 2004).gif
and
var3 = 2004
This flag is just based on the shades used in pictures in an edition of the CIA World Factbook and are not official or even real changes to the flag used by Serbia & Montenegro, it should not be included and especially not linked to a specific year as a historical variant. This change will not break anything Havsjö (talk) 09:45, 8 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As the file was renamed on Commons, please change Flag of Serbia and Montenegro.svg to Flag of Serbia and Montenegro (1992–2006).svg. Also, please remove the variant | flag alias-2003=Flag of Yugoslavia (1992–2003).svg, as that file redirects to the same default flag. Thanks, S.A. Julio (talk) 23:03, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the link alias-basketball. It's unnecessary, moreover, it's wrong because it links to a redirect page.
{{bk|Serbia and Montenegro}} Serbia and Montenegro (redirect page)
{{bk|Serbia and Montenegro/sandbox}} Serbia and Montenegro (article)

Template-protected edit request on 25 February 2020[edit]

Please remove the link alias-tennis because it links to an incorrect article:
{{davis|Serbia and Montenegro}} Serbia and MontenegroSerbia Davis Cup team (this article doesn't deal with the Serbia and Montenegro Davis Cup team)
{{davis|Serbia and Montenegro/sandbox}} Serbia and Montenegro Yugoslavia Davis Cup team (correct article)
Maiō T. (talk) 12:55, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I created the article - Serbia and Montenegro Davis Cup team, so please link to that. Pelmeen10 (talk) 16:24, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That means, the link alias-tennis is no longer necessary. Maiō T. (talk) 17:25, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Link alias - rugby union[edit]

I would like to fix the link alias-rugby union. The current code is: | link alias-rugby union = Serbia national rugby union team
That means, the template {{ru}} produces this:
{{ru|Serbia and Montenegro}} Serbia and Montenegro (Serbia national rugby union team)
My proposal is to remove the above mentioned link-alias, so the result would be:
{{ru|Serbia and Montenegro/sandbox}} Serbia and Montenegro
User:Pelmeen10, please write your opinion. Maiō T. (talk) 17:00, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the article is expected. I would start it myself, unfortunately rugby is too far from my known subjects. Pelmeen10 (talk) 19:44, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've just created the article (Serbia and Montenegro national rugby union team) so please expand it a little bit. Thanks, Maiō T. (talk) 14:20, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That means, the link alias-rugby union is no longer necessary. Maiō T. (talk) 20:50, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 12 August 2021[edit]

Please create the following template:

Template armed forces link to Armed Forces of Serbia and Montenegro (probably by creating the parameter |link alias-armed forces=, to result in {armed forces|Serbia and Montenegro}})

Sundostund (talk) 06:35, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Done Note that the actual parameter used by {{armed forces}} is |link alias-military= (which I added), not |link alias-armed forces= (which I did not add). * Pppery * it has begun... 23:53, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please replace:

| link alias-navy = Navy of Serbia and Montenegro

Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 23:44, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Illegitimate Barrister:  Question: it's a bit confusing because this is on the talk page of the {{Country data Serbia and Montenegro}} template, and yet the link in the {{Edit template-protected}} template is to {{Country data FR Yugoslavia}}. There seems to be some overlap, so can you please clear this up? P.I. Ellsworth - ed. put'r there 07:42, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
