Template:Merge from CfD/doc

Usage

{{subst:Merge from CfD|date=|disc=|1st category|2nd category|3rd category...}}

This template is used to notify a page that a Categories for Discussion is considering a merge to this page. This template must be substituted.

Parameters

This template takes two named parameters and up to 20 unnamed parameters, one of which is required for the template to function properly.

• date - this required parameter must be set to the date of the CfD discussion that brought about the proposed merge NOT the current date. It is used to link to the appropriate CfD discussion.
• disc - this optional parameter can be set to the name of the CfD discussion that brought about the proposed merge. It is used to link to the appropriate CfD discussion section. If this named parameter is not set, the first unnamed parameter will be used for the section link to the CfD discussion.
• unnamed parameters - these can be used to provide a link to multiple templates to be merged. If the disc= parameter is not set, the first category listed should be the title of the CfD discussion.
