General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: No - just a suggestion

QPQ: No - Not done
Overall: @Cielquiparle: Good article. Though, I believe that the hook would benefit better from an explanation on what the controversy is supposed to be or why it wants to spark controversy. Simply just saying controversy I feel isn't interesting enough. Onegreatjoke (talk) 22:16, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

@Onegreatjoke: Have added QPQ above. Have also expanded the article based on more reviews. Earwig still says violation "unlikely", but some of the matches are high because it includes more direct quotes from reviews, which are cited in the article. New ALT hook is below:
  • ALT1: ... that The 1619 Project episode called "Fear" traces present-day vigilante violence against Black youths in the United States back to fear of slave rebellions?
The source for the hook above is this New Yorker magazine article. Thanks for your feedback and for taking another look. Cielquiparle (talk) 09:53, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
@Onegreatjoke: Please let me know your feedback regarding ALT1. If you don't like it, I can propose some new ones. Thanks. Cielquiparle (talk) 21:57, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
Approve. Onegreatjoke (talk) 22:03, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
