Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island[edit]

Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario creator and Yoshi's Island producer, was responsible for the game's signature art style.

Improved to Good Article status by Czar (talk). Self-nominated at 03:29, 20 April 2015 (UTC).

  • Reviewed : Checked the source [4], seems ok, but impossible to verify source [11]. No problem though. The only problem I see is that the image of Miyanoto is of very poor quality (out of focus or motion blurred). I would change it for a better image before it goes to the main page (if indeed it does). Coldcreation (talk) 15:24, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
@Coldcreation, thanks. Is there another photo that you would recommend? Also could you use the image tick so the closer can easily see the nom's progress? czar  06:32, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
There are a few public domain images at Commons, see: Category:Shigeru Miyamoto. Not sure what you mean by "image tick". Coldcreation (talk) 08:55, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
@Coldcreation, I know about the other images—I wanted to know whether you preferred a different one. I liked the current one best. The image tick is {{DYKtick}} or one of the others shown above the edit box in the edit notice on this page. czar  09:30, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
I'd just like to check up on this, since it's been a week since the last comment. Coldcreation, has this been officially passed? If not, and if you don't reply, I believe another reviewer will have to jump in. -- Rhain1999 (talk to me) 11:54, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
I'm not experienced enough in DYK nominations to determine the outcome of this particular topic. I see though that the image is still out of focus. On that alone I would not pass this nomination. Coldcreation (talk) 13:07, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
@Coldcreation, I offered alternatives above. If you don't like any of the images, remove them from the hook and run it as you wish, but don't leave an incomplete review, please. czar  13:36, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
Coldcreation, could you please complete this review? I'm sure czar wants it done, and someone else will have to take over if you don't complete it soon. I'll jump in if no-one else does. -- Rhain1999 (talk to me) 00:07, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

. I would removed the out-of-focus image. Even after reading the instructions for what to do next, I'm still not sure how to proceed. (This is my first time reviewing a DYK). So if you Rhain1999 could finish this nomination it would be much appreciated. 05:16, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

I think the image works well at a small size; I don't think it looks blurry at all. -- Rhain1999 (talk to me) 06:30, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
