Ruyi Bridge
- ... that Ruyi Bridge in China looks like a DNA strand? Source: Madeleine Grey of the The Sydney Morning Herald described the bridge's appearance as a "mix between DNA strand and a futuristic Eye of sauron."
- ALT1: ... that Ruyi Bridge was made to resemble the Chinese symbol for good fortune? Source: Ruyi Bridge was designed by structural steel expert, He Yunchang and made to resemble jade ruyi, which is a Chinese symbol for good fortune. Also: "The architectural design was inspired by jade ruyi, which is a symbol of good fortune in China."
- ALT2: ... that Ruyi Bridge is so unusual that people thought it might be a deepfake? Source: Initially the bridge became well known when Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield uploaded a drone video of the bridge to Twitter on November 29, 2020 with the caption: "I'd want better handrails". Many viewers doubted that the bridge was real, and eventually Snopes, opened an investigation and determined that the bridge is real and not a deepfake.

Interesting bridge, on fine sources, no copyvio obvious. Why no image? I like ALT1 best. - In the article, the sentence about going viral is only in the lead, and would need a reference there, but I suggest to move it below. - @SL93: Thanks for the ping. I chose the DNA strand comparison from this line in the cited article,
"Ruyi Bridge, which looks like a mix between a giant DNA strand and a futuristic Eye of Sauron."

- @SL93: Grrrr. The hook numbering system always confounds me. So for ALT1 I thought this line in the reference supported the hook:
The Ruyi Bridge is designed by He Yunchang, a steel structure expert, to look like a jade ruyi – a ceremonial spectre that is a symbol of good fortune in China.
. Source. Quite a few sources say the same, like this one: "The architectural design was inspired by jade ruyi, which is a symbol of good fortune in China." - never mind, I hope - DYK has rulez, and one is that the source has to be referenced right after the sentence with the fact (not after more sentences in the same paragraph, not in this nomination.
