Real Life (novel)

  • ... that Real Life, Brandon Taylor's debut novel, is an American campus novel about a gay, Black doctoral student in a mostly White Ph.D. program? • ALT1:... that ...? Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates)

  • This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:10, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Returned from prep. We don't put names of people who don't have a Wikipedia article on the main page. Without it, this would obviously not satisfy Rule C6. Would you like to propose a different hook, or perhaps write a stub for Brandon Taylor? Yoninah (talk) 17:55, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Well, this is what we do. I did something similar for a Pixar short film by a first-time artist whom I was trying to mention on the main page. Thank you for writing the stub. Here is a tweaked hook:
  • ALT1: ... that Real Life, Brandon Taylor's debut novel, is an American campus novel about a gay, black doctoral student in a mostly white Ph.D. program?
  • ALT1 hook ref verified and cited inline. Rest of review per Cwmhiraeth. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 22:12, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
