Pupil Slicer

Source: "The raw and warm-blooded Blossom couldn’t be further from Neil Peart’s PHIL 101 primer on free will and individuality. Instead, Davies’s storytelling goals came to her out of profound emotion. Moved to tears by two video games—Final Fantasy XIV: End Walker and Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eyes—she realized her response had less to do with plot or characters of the games than the open-ended resonance of their themes." - Pupil Slicer and the Advent of the Mathcore Space Opera

"Video game Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker was one inspiration behind the album, and the band adopt the game’s apocalyptic narrative in tracks like the post-metal influenced The Song at Creation’s End." - The five-star albums we missed in 2023 – from Jane Remover to Jalen Ngonda

"They never strode into the writing process for Blossom with the intention of writing a concept album – it was an idea that came to them by accident. It took root as they were writing the first song for the album, the slowly unfurling, gracefully raging eight-minute epic The Song At Creation’s End, inspired by video games like Final Fantasy 14 and Outer Wilds that they personally found deeply affecting." - Pupil Slicer embrace a ”stronger identity” on new album Blossom

  • The article was nominated swiftly after being moved to mainspace and meets the size requirements. Guitar.com is a sketchy source to me but it seems an interview is being cited to discuss the band's inspiration, so it passes as WP:ABOUTSELF. The terms italicized in the hook are not italicized in the article currently so you may want to fix that. Cheers, NØ 19:10, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
