Eggøya, Rekvedbukta (Jan Mayen), Nansenflua[edit]

  • Comment: Awaiting conclusion of AfD of Nansenflua. Nansenflua was created on 4 August, while Eggøya and Rekvedbukta were expanded a few days later.

  • I suggest the following alt hook:
ALT1: ... that the exiled HNoMS Fridtjof Nansen wrecked and sank off the volcanic island Jan Mayen in November 1940, after striking a previously uncharted rock west-southwest of Eggøya in the northern part of Rekvedbukta?
I think we should describe and link Jan Mayen, I think that adding the word volcanic will draw viewers. As will, I think, the word exiled. The character count of 202 is well within limits for a multi-article hook (202-18=184). Manxruler (talk) 09:45, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the more informative alt hook. I adjusted the hooks slightly, by changing the direction to west-southwest of Eggøya, in accordance with cited reference. The hook length increases with nine characters, but still within the limits. Oceanh (talk) 08:02, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
All three are OK – length is OK (just about), newness and sourcing is also OK. AGF on the offline (presumably Norwegian-language?) sources. Prioryman (talk) 22:44, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
