Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl[edit]

5x expanded by SL93 (talk). Self-nominated at 10:21, 5 January 2019 (UTC).

General eligibility:

Policy compliance:

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: Yes
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Expansion is more than 5 times and in time, no need for sources on the plot, the rest is well sourced and the hook is interesting. We are good here. MPJ-DK (talk) 20:58, 7 January 2019 (UTC)

  • Returned from prep. Gatoclass posted this comment: 'pulled Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl - he wasn't 101 when he directed this, probably 99, but the sources don't say when he directed it, only when it was released. New hook needed. Yoninah (talk) 18:08, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
Could simply remove the specific age and it is fully sourced. MPJ-DK (talk) 18:16, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
ALT1... that when Manoel de Oliveira directed the film Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl, it made him the oldest man to direct a feature film?
Would that work? valereee (talk) 18:54, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
ALT1 is not so hooky. The age is a big draw. Maybe there's another source for his age? Otherwise we could say that the film was released shortly before the director's 102nd birthday, though that leaves open the question of when he made it. Yoninah (talk) 20:33, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
ALT2': that Manoel de Oliveira's grandson Ricardo Trêpa had a starring role in Oliveira's film Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl? SL93 (talk) 22:55, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
  • Because he was 101 years old when it was released. I did verify the age he was while finishing filming - 100 years old. SL93 (talk) 23:00, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
ALT3: ... that when Manoel de Oliveira finished filming Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl at 100 years old, it made him the oldest man to direct a feature film?
  • I really think you should trim the hook for more effectiveness.
ALT3a: ... that Manoel de Oliveira finished filming Eccentricities of a Blonde-Haired Girl when he was 100 years old? Yoninah (talk) 23:18, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
That's fine. SL93 (talk) 00:53, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

Suggested tweak:

  • Thank you, Gatoclass, that's great. I adjusted the article to reflect the source. ALT3b verified and good to go. Yoninah (talk) 10:48, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
