Aphaenogaster mersa[edit]

Aphaenogaster mersa illustration

  • ... that the first described fossil of Aphaenogaster mersa (illustrated) had a white mold coating?

Created by Kevmin (talk). Self nominated at 22:50, 3 August 2014 (UTC).

  • Long enough, new enough, neutral enough. References taken in good faith. Hook cited (I moved the Wheeler reference up per DYK rules, please correct it if that is the wrong reference). QPQ done. Hook is fine (especially for mouldy ant fans; come on, we know you are out there). Picture looks good too (though I'm not saying I want one as a pet). Belle (talk) 10:38, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
