Historical Inaccuracies[edit]

I've removed this following section from the article, as it's both informal and unsourced. If someone can provide some sources, we can work it back in.

Graysmith's novel has a lot of historical inaccuracies, most of which can be attributed to mistakes in his investigation. Robert Graysmith misidentified the locations of the Zodiac murders. Also, Arthur Leigh Allen's family did not believe he was the Zodiac as the book tells. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.215.142.246 (talk) 04:08, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are entire websites devoted to the multitude of errors in Graysmith's two Zodiac books. A user would be wise to write a well-sourced section regarding these issues for this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.173.174.36 (talk) 04:18, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

And those websites would be wise to cite scholarly or journalistic sources for how they determined their information - otherwise it is non-peer reviewed Original Research, which is not allowed on Wiki. 98.67.187.254 (talk) 06:34, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Wrong Book is Referenced[edit]

The article doesn't give a synopsis of the book Zodiac but instead more closely details the content of Zodiac Unmasked, published over fifteen years later. I have deleted the parts that are not in the first Zodiac book and also removed the section taken from the publisher's press release and consequently reads like an advertisement. In their place, I have written a summary of what the book Zodiac actually covers but a better summary certainly could be written. Also, since this book has been heavily criticized by aficionados of the Zodiac murders, some of that criticism should be listed.TL36 (talk) 17:09, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
