The title[edit]

What about moving the article to vz. 26? The current title ("ZB vz. 26") is a hybrid of the manufacturer's (ZB-26, the ZB stands for Zbrojovka Brno) and Czechoslovak army's designation (LK vz. 26, meaning lehký kulomet vz. 26, in English light machinegun mk. 26). Anyone who would oppose? :) --- Sandius 13:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you're able to change all links directing to ZB vz. 26, I believe it should be useful change.--ja_62 14:48, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"ZB vz. 26" is indeed a hybrid designation, yet it seems that it still qualifies under the wp:COMMONNAME. -87.249.145.69 (talk) 18:44, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but the statement "Many more countries imported or produced the design under license, including the USSR, China, Yugoslavia, and Lithuania." is not correct. Soviet Army had never adopted or imported or produced this machine gun. A few of them were captured in Baltic countries (may be in Lithuania), and used during 1941-1942 in some People's Militia Divisions. Of course, some MG.26(t) were captured as war loot by Red Army soldiers and Soviet partisans. the number of errors in this wiki entry is amazing. Examples

The ZB26 influenced the design of the FM24/29. This of course is moronic in that the FM24 was in service before the ZB26 was even designed so how could it influence the design?

The Jap 96 and 97 is a copy of the Bren. First the 97 is a Lewis gun copy and the 96 is a Hotchkiss derived design and was before the Bren.

ZB30 is a design for the English trials. No again it was the next iteration of the design and the ZB33 was the trials gun for the English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.194.112.73 (talk) 17:24, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Elite German Waffen SS[edit]

I Deleted the "elite" Part of this because it sounds silly and they were everything but not elite — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dennis Könemann (talkcontribs) 18:39, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ZB vz 26 in Croatia[edit]

@Havsjö: Are you sure the guns on the "countless photographs" were zv. 26 and not ZB vz. 30J?--Le Petit Chat (talk) 12:31, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
