This is american slang that was introduced roughly eight years ago in the the southeastern United States of American. In fact, the true origins can be traced to a character by the name of Josh Humphreys. He pioneered combo phrases like "Yup, Chup, and Chello (not the instrument). Yup, was a produced be the positive way of expressing "nope". The next evolution of the word was "Chup", chug and yup. Chello is more of a mixing of yup, chug, and hello. This brilliant young mind was also responsible for "gregin". His slur words and slang were quickly picked up by the local crowds. Where the words spread throughout the club scene in New Orleans. One marketing agent actually got confused with the slang and produced "gellin" for a foot insole company.
