Readability[edit]

I think the article is not very reader-friendly. In particular, I think the lead should describe what kind of distribution it is first (the bit about the urns and taxa was helpful, but too far below in the article) and discuss the maths later. I also think the image is misleading since at first glance it looks like a continuous distribution. I know the footnote says it's discrete, but I almost clicked away without reading because of the image. It should be a graph with dots rather than lines. If possible, there should also be a derivation of the maths; at present it states what the formulae are, but not why they are so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.139.82.82 (talk) 14:14, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Undefined notations in the paragraph "Occurrence"[edit]

At the end of the paragraph entitled "Occurrence" we find recurrence relations. Note that the parameter α was nowhere defined in the preceding text, and the same remark holds true for the notation P(.). Hence this makes the mentioned lines impossible to undestand...
