Earliest account[edit]

The line:

The earliest account of the yellow-throated marten is given by Thomas Pennant...

should be changed or indeed just removed because the martens are common in China where people have been writing about animals for milenia. If the sentence were to be changed to:

The earliest account of the yellow-throated marten by a European is...

it may be factually more accurate but it is unnecessarily western centric. When wikipedia has articles about European animals, there is no need to mention when they were first written about by Chinese people and visa versa. Aberdeen01 (talk) 13:51, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Subspecies table[edit]

The coding for the subspecies needs to be fixed, as only the top of the columns shows, with no subspecies listed. I don't know enough about coding the tables to fix it.
