Good Thing?[edit]

I really hope that WSX turns out good, because I want to see more wrestling on TV in the US, and this could also push TNA and the E to pump out a better product. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Electric Knight (talkcontribs) .

I doubt it will be good, especially since they care more about the TRL type crowd than a wrestling crowd. For their first taping they required people to send in head shots since they only wanted attractive people for the tapings. They don't seem to be serious about making this a real wrestling fed. BTW, sign your name next time. TJ Spyke 00:59, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you freakin' kidding me about that headshot business? Wow. That's... amazing. I'd love to see some more competition in American professional wrestling, but I'm expecting this to crash and burn pretty quickly. Jeff Silvers 21:57, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth, a person who was at the pilot taping indicated that the matches were actually pretty good, though a lot of the crowd was made up of actors paid to dress "punk." Jeff Silvers 08:38, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The purpose of this page is not to discuss whether the promotion is good or not. it is to discuss changes this article needs.--Unopeneddoor 22:57, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Debut?[edit]

Any word on when Wrestling Society X is set to debut on MTV? Jeff Silvers 12:24, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to know too. I googled WSX and all I get are wrestling websites. DonMEGĂ60645Talk|Contribs 14:27, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I want to know too. It might actually be good. But I heard that it's gonna be half an hour but I wish it was an hour. We need more wrestling to keep competition up because three companies are better than two.- Packratt200
It debuts Tuesday, January 30th at 10:30 pm on MTV. TheNewMinistry 05:53, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Frequent changes[edit]

According to his official WSX profile located on the WSX webpage, Sean Waltman is listed as “6-Pac” not “Syxx-Pac”. Likewise, according to their official WSX profiles, Horiguchi and Yoshino are listed by their last names only, however Aaron Aguilera his credited by is full name not just his last.

There is no real difference between a tag team and a stable other than the number of people in them, so there is no real difference to break them up into two separate groups. Besides, no other wrestling roster on Wikipedia has the two listed in separate groups.

As for the alumni section, since all four wrestlers only worked on the debut show, there is not need to put same date twice. And technically, none of them worked for WSX on January 30, 2007 since that episode was taped in February 2006.PepsiPlunge 08:02, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

World Champ[edit]

Is Ricky Banderas announced as champion already or does he win it on the show? If he wins it on the show we shouldn't list it here until the show starts.

He's not announced as such anywhere on the site, so let's leave it vacant for now. Linknumbers 04:44, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He won it on the tapings wich means it already happened so I don't see why it shouldn't be there already it's not like the tapes will magically change so that Vampiro retains it he is going to win it in the next two weeks and that's what already happened, remember this is not a live show thus the outcome won't change. -Dark Dragon Flame 22:47, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He was declared the champion as well as stripped of it. --Dravenfrost 22:25, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New shows[edit]

Just as a heads up, the shows actually debut on Friday nights, not Tuesday nights, so the 2nd episode where Vampiro wins the title has allready aired. Here's a review of the episoe, notice the airdate. http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/news/features/default.asp?aID=18558

Actually the airdates of when a new episode airs is not on fridays but on tuesdays. Episodes that air on fridays are episodes that have aired on the previous tuesdays. Here's a review of the episode, notice the airdate. http://www.myspace.com/wrestlingsocietyx, http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/wsx/series.jhtml?source=TLD_wsx.mtv.com

Regardless of what WSX says on the internet, MTV airs the new episodes on Friday, not Tuesday. Here is MTV's official TV schedule. Notice the difference between the WSX shows on Friday on Tuesday. All the Friday one's say "New" while the Tuesday one's do not. If that still isn't proof enough for you, tune in on Friday and see for yourself.206.81.201.40 02:10, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually when I go to MTV (Ch 63 in my area) on Fridays between the hours of 8:00PM-12:00AM PST, nowhere do I see any episodes of Wrestling Society X. Even the MTV web site, http://www.mtv.com/#/ontv/schedule/ it shows that no episodes of Wrestling Society X will be airing. If you go to tuesdays at 10:30PM, it shows a new episode of Wrestling Society X.

Cancelled?[edit]

What's this I'm hearing about the show being cancelled? Or is it just because they pulled the episode due to the firebal incident and it will air again like normal next week? LK Thurisaz 17:09, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No they will air that episode too they just moved it to next week and aired a crappy Scarred episode but they are still going to be aired see the schelude on the article. -Dark Dragon Flame 03:34, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remember, people. The rumors of cancellation are NOTHING BUT RUMORS so long as WrestlingObserver and PWInsider are the only ones reporting it. When MTV or WSX reports it, then it becomes news... 209.184.165.20 22:08, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think its canceled. SuperSonicTH 14:45, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Yes it has been. It's confirmed by WSX and MTV pulled it. NOW people can start crying.

Past tense[edit]

I changed some of the past tense reference to the promotion itself (though not the show); even if MTV did pull the plug on the show, which it's apparent now that they have, the promotion itself can't be confirmed as defunct until a statement saying as much is made by Big Vision Entertainment. Jeff Silvers 14:05, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They have not been officially cancelled, just pulled from Tuesdays so MTV can decide what to do with the show. This is according to the CEO of Big Vision: [1]. TJ Spyke 06:32, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
New episodes resume on MTV next Tuesday, 3/13, according to Wrestling Observer and PWInsider. TheNewMinistry 17:03, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
According to the press release from Big Vision Entertainment, WSX IS dead. I quote from the WSX article itself, "It was announced by Big Vision Entertainment on July 19th, 2007 that the four-disc Wrestling Society X: The Complete First and Last Season (The Meteoric Rise & Fall Of An International Wrestling Promotion Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Pro Wrestling) DVD will be released on November 13, 2007. The set will feature all 10 episodes, all 10 WSXtra episodes, Deleted Scenes and Special Features. Big Vision Entertainment has no intentions of bringing back the show for any future seasons (as indicated by the title of the DVD), and several of the stars from the series now work for World Wrestling Entertainment, TNA Wrestling, Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla." So, I think it's safe to say that WSX is dead. 98.193.77.218 02:28, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
