Woodford facts[edit]

Professor Edgeworth David had a house in Woodford.
A transit of Venus (approx 1880) was observed from Woodford. (There was a display about this at the Academy; maybe it is still there).
There was a convict camp at Bull's Camp (?) just east of Woodford.

I know these things because I lived in Woodford during the 1960s — so I cannot give proper citations. But someone may be able to find some. m.e. (talk) 02:36, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
