October 2006[edit]

Believe it or not, a simple policy can allow for multiple infractions whereas the honor system at Woodberry does not tolerate any infractions whatsoever. In fact, I'll use that as my excuse the next time the headmaster asks me to leave the school. "But Wikipedia said it was a simple policy, not a one-strike policy!" - student

Apparently English grammar is not a requirement at this school. Reread the section on the honor system, and you will find what "simple" means in that particular context. If a school like that does prepare one for matriculation to a university, get used to it. That is the policy of most top tier schools, there is nothing unique or notable about it. Pretty threadbare[edit]

There should be alot more about Woodberry in this section here. From the point of view of a former student('97), the description of the honor system is threadbare and inadequate. The description of the prefect system is also lacking as it fails to convey the gravity of the prefect position. The description of the campus also needs addition. The floorplan for the Headmaster's Residence was designed by President Thomas Jefferson; there's no mention of this in the article.

As of last week, Woodberry Forest School has a student government once more. As of itself, this isn't big news, the school has had one before, only four years ago did it "fall apart." However, what's significant to the article is that in describing the duties of the Head Prefect, a comparison is drawn between his duties and that of a class president. However, the class president at Woodberry CANNOT be a prefect- therefore the two positions are separate. 50.202.55.2 (talk) 04:21, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Alumni[edit]

Charley Clatanoff has no year attached. A google turns up nothing except this entry and a world war I draft notice; it's unlikely that a "graduate student" would be notable for service in that war. I wonder if he was added to this list by chums... I will delete. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moishe Rosenbaum (talkcontribs) 10:44, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Much controversy" about the honor system? No.[edit]

I removed an assertion that there has been "much controversy" about the honor system because of its black-and-white nature. The reality is, in fact, the opposite. The honor system in its longstanding form has deep support from constiuencies including alumni, faculty, and students. The nature of the system is clear to all who enter the school as students or faculty. I don't believe that an occasional complaint by an individual whose friend or child was dismissed counts as "much controversy." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moishe Rosenbaum (talkcontribs) 20:43, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of footnotes for Notable Alumni[edit]

Why are footnotes absent from the section? Other like schools substantiate their "Notable" w footnote. 127W111 (talk) 15:47, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
