Bunker[edit]

If anyone has access to a newspaper archive, the press were taken around the Wood Norton bunker in either late 1968 or early 1969. --jmb 21:47, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The SHF link to Pebble Mill makes no sense as described because there were already yagis for UHF TV reception. There are extensive TV studios under Bredon Wing and this link would have provided access to the TV backbone and/or the Sutton Coldfield TX and RBS ("Rebroadcast Standby") network. The SHF to Daventry would have been for World Service audio, while domestic radio would have been covered by the 198kHz LF TX, 21km/13mi away, in Wychbold, (also hardened). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.9.50.236 (talk) 11:15, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

Does this building have any pre 1939 history?--Kudpung (talk) 10:02, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tags[edit]

While obviously needing attention this article appeared to have been attacked by tags, including those that suggested the main section was both too long and needed expansion. The notability of the house is in the use of its grounds by the BBC so having added a sentence about its original ownership, I have removed the tag suggesting its early history needs to be more detailed. The title suggests this is not an article solely about Wood Norton Hall but about the area around it so I have expanded the lead on this basis and removed the "lead too short" tag as well.
