Clean-up[edit]

It might be scary for a bit, but I'm working to strip clean-up the article and then build it back up again.--CaroleHenson (talk) 02:30, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To help clarify the changes that I've made:
  • Information that was essentially copied from the subject's website has been removed, such as past presidents and the block of information in the introduction. This is WP:Primary sources information, which should be very limited. There's just a bit of information left in the article now from WCA's website regarding organizational structure.
  • Articles are not intended to have long lists of information, so I moved the important list of lifetime achievement award winners to its own page. (See Wikipedia:Discriminate vs indiscriminate information and WP:LISTS).
  • The article page should quickly provide information so that a reader could discern what the organization is about, what it does and who it affects. I hope it's a littler easier to sort that out.
Otherwise, there was just a bit of copy editing.--CaroleHenson (talk) 04:42, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
