Maybe it's just me but doesn't this seem like an unnecessary article? Wix.com (as far as I know anyway) is of very little importance.)Eggbertx (talk) 23:44, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found it useful. 94.169.126.14 (talk) 23:31, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eggbertx, what do you base this statement on? --83.232.153.146 (talk) 15:35, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't Wix get really bad reviews from paying customers who said they were ripped off/scammed? I dunno, might wanna research that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.181.173.229 (talk) 18:41, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

page is totally useless except for being a free ad for site Alstom441 (talk) 13:27, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's just another website 84.109.136.181 (talk) 16:54, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm writing an article about Wix. Having a Wikipedia page on it is useful. If you don't have a use for it, that's fine but the site has 40 million users: that means, at some point, people are going to need to research it. A Wikipedia article is perfectly justified. 90.152.3.242 (talk) 10:16, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

HTML5[edit]

Needs a better citation for the benefits to the company of switching to HTML5. That citation only verifies that the transition happened, not any mention of how it helped grow the user base. 90.152.3.242 (talk) 10:16, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What does "Wix" mean?[edit]

What does the name of the company/site actually mean? Is it an abbreviation for something? Is it a foreign word for something? Is it a made up word that's supposed to mean something? If so, wow and why was it chosen?

It has a meaning in German, but I'm pretty sure that's _not_ intended. It would roughly translate as 'wank'. I chocked laughing when I first saw an ad for 'wank.com' 90.196.181.236 (talk) 10:22, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Company versus software[edit]

The article lede talks about Wix.com, the software platform, but the infobox is about the company. It should probably use the software infobox template, and the company should have its own article. Does anyone call the software Wix.com though, or is it usually just shortened to Wix? Timtempleton (talk) 01:55, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sale or other uses of personal data collected by the sites generated by using the Wix platform[edit]

I think that providers of website generation platforms such as this ought to include clear, unambiguous statements about what they do with the data collected by those generated sites that is fed back to them. This will provide a more comprehensive description of the purposes of the company. The information provided in the article reads like a puff piece, PR written to seem objective while dodging more pertinent and useful facts. IMHO. Dawnvawn (talk) 23:20, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

BBB Complaints[edit]

There was a section added by 69.180.113.218 (talk · contribs) summarizing some complaints from the Better Business Bureau. I've removed the section because it seems to have a few issues, but I'd like to get others' thoughts before it becomes an edit war.

  • BBB reviews areWP:USERGENERATED, so I don't think they'd generally be considered reliable
  • The BBB doesn't summarize reviews the way the editor here did, so I believe that would be WP:ORIGINAL
  • Possibly WP:UNDUE if there isn't any news coverage of this type of complaint

Edit[edit]

Hello, I am new to Wikipedia and would like to add the updated number of Wix users worldwide. HayleyHall (talk) 07:50, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
