Should Tammy Faye Bakker's appearance in the film be considered a cameo, as it appears as though she was only a guest on the same episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live as The Big 3, and apparently had no idea who they were or why they were there? I would refer to it more as an appearance than a cameo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.153.97.71 (talk) 19:02, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ernie Banks appearance[edit]

I believe that Ernie Banks is played by a look-alike, not Ernie Banks himself. Please verify.

Ernie Banks's IMDB profile: [1] doesnt list him as appearing in this film. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wavy G (talkcontribs) 00:31, August 29, 2007 (UTC)
And, IMDB lists Paul Motley as playing him in this film, so you are probably correct.(mercurywoodrose)76.232.10.255 (talk) 16:14, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Film veracity[edit]

What hindered my enjoyment of the film is that within a couple of minutes in, you realize that the rube is in on the joke and the joke is supposed to be on us, the audience. Though this article makes brief mention of Perry's occassional awareness of a put-on, it is clear he is acting when is supposedly "behind the scenes." To be honest, even if this movie were genuine, it would be too plain mean to be funny. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.112.68.51 (talk) 00:55, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Perry is the real deal; he isn't acting. If you get a little deeper into "The Perry Project", you'll see that. Listen to The Big 3 Podcast and talk to Perry on Facebook and you can get some real insight into his life. As far as Windy City Heat being too mean to be funny; it's hard to feel sorry for him when he made 50 grand for being a narcissistic, homophobic stooge. Perry himself finds the movie to be funny, and considers it his greatest accomplishment. The fact that he considers it his own accomplishment, should tell you just how narcissistic he really is. Music[edit]

I noticed that an episode of Ren and Stimpy used the same music as Windy City Heat. So is it from a musac cd or something? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.255.148 (talk) 00:47, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The music director was Jonathan Kimmel, brother of Jimmy. Probably generic music for overly dramatic scenes as you indicate, but this fact is unfortunately too trivial to note here.(mercurywoodrose)76.232.10.255 (talk) 16:09, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bisexuality[edit]

why no mention of perry being bisexual? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.139.41.63 (talk) 18:28, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because there is no source for this assertion, which would have to be from Mr. Caravallo himself. Anything else would not suffice when adding that type of highly personal, biographical information on living people to Wikipedia.(Mercurywoodrose)76.232.10.255 (talk) 16:01, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

But isn't his known and self admitted encounter with Randy Callahan proof that he is homosexual or bi-sexual? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.90.132.199 (talk) 20:18, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unwarranted skepticism[edit]

The article implies that Perry (the main character) may be pretending to be gullible for the sake of comedy however this tone of unnecessary scepticism seems to be unsourced, original research.

So I think this article should instead simply say that the movie is a prank on Perry Caravello.

My personal opinion (after watching the movie and listening to hours of podcasts) is that Perry is more gullible than most but that the movie emphasised this through clever editing (as often done on Reality TV) but I don't think that my personal opinion should affect the article either.

Instead I think that the sceptical tone (eg. "presented as") should be removed and any reviewers that expressed scepticism should be under a section to do with the response to the movie.

If it's ok I'll change the article in a few days to reflect better wording. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.255.148 (talk) 09:11, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
