Article more a history of the Route 6 trolley[edit]

This article appears to be more a history of the Route 6 trolley than a history of Willow Grove Park itself, however, the trolley was crucial to the park's development, and my great-grandfather was a conductor on that trolley line.

I was too young to remember any part of the park other than it being named "Six Gun Territory," as my mother would not allow me to attend the park due to its immediate proximity to Crestmont, a then run-down and still today primarily African-American section of Willow Grove, as she was afraid of me being robbed. I was 11 when the park last operated, and lived in Willow Grove from 1973-1988.

Please assist in adding more detail to the park itself, as I am not knowledgeable enough to add my own content! Bill S. (talk) 09:18, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
