NPOV? Is this an ad? Fnorth 01:56, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I did some cleanup to change from an ad to an article. Needs more help. Vaoverland 04:28, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Pottery Factory, even though it is a private profit seeking business, IS a destination in Va., a tourist attraction of its own right, and to some a annual pilgrimage. Where I see the need to protect from shameless advertising, this really is a landmark on its own.

A landmark? no. encyclopedic value? doubtful. Either way, it must be written in a NPOV Fnorth 23:41, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Revised. And yes, it absolutely is a landmark. I grew up in Williamsburg and at one time it was as iconic as the Reading Market is to Philly. Everyone went to the Pottery and it is sad to see it in such disrepair these days. If you lived in the Colonial Triangle you would understand its importance.184.91.54.208 (talk) 01:32, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This Page Needs Update[edit]

This article is outdated and needs updating. I am employed here, therefore cannot update it myself due to conflict of interest. However, the "Factory" in the title is removed and the business no longer functions as an outlet mall. It is all one retail shop with 3 marketplace buildings and a restaurant. If anyone can update the information and upload current photos, that would be most helpful to all those inquiring about the Pottery's current status, appearance, location, and offerings. Any help is much appreciated! Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.169.18.220 (talk) 17:27, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:70.169.18.220. I see that you made some changes to the article that were reverted by A.amitkumar for not following Wikipedia's policies on neutral point-of-view, and that you subsequently made more changes to the article. While we appreciate your contributions, I agree that you should probably refrain from working on this article, as it is a clear conflict of interest. I tried the best I could to make the article more neutral and encyclopaedic, removing content I felt not appropriate. If you have additional information that you feel is missing and vital to this article, I would suggest posting it here, along with the reliable sources. Maybe non-partial contributors can decide whether the information warrants addition to the article. But please remember that Wikipedia is not the place to promote The Pottery. I hope I have been able to help. Estaling (talk) 10:15, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
