Death notice[edit]

@Mewulwe:, with regards to his death notice, I was quite thorough before adding this to the page. I searched in the Ryerson Index and that was the only newspaper obituary that stood out to me (the age at death matching with Worth's DOB on here). However, in order to establish whether it was definitely him I had a look on Ancestry and found this, a tree that matches the diplomat to that death notice and the 13 Dec 1912 DOB. Whilst Ancestry family trees cannot be used by themselves to source a date of death, I do believe this supports inclusion of that particular newspaper death notice, particularly given its author is the "Worth Family". I think we need to be realistic about this – it's unlikely that another book, web or news source will come along, and all of the evidence gives strength to the Feb 2001 death notice being his. If there is agreement, I will reinstate, otherwise the opening bracket should read "born 13 December 1912, date of death unknown" with the "Year of death missing" category at the very least given that he would now be older than Australia's oldest living man, Ken Weeks (born 5 October 1913). Please let me know what you think. Thanks! Jkaharper (talk) 11:49, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ancestry being a pay site, I can't access that particular page, but based on this page about his wife, whose identity as such is confirmed by Who's Who in Australia 1974, it seems good enough. Mewulwe (talk) 15:27, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
