Complete reversal of my recent edit[edit]

I was disappointed to find that my recent edit to this page had been reversed.

William Eure was one of my ancestors and I am still researching as time on other projects allow.

This article sources heavily for Cracroft's Peerage that is known by genealogists to be a poor single source.

William's daughter Elizabeth married Sir William Ireland.

Other material was sourced through research in Ancestry.com and archive.org notably with regard to his grand-daughter Marie/Mary.

The note concerning his uncle William being only two years his senior is important and it is possible to confuse the two.. William the uncle was the MP for Scarborough. I cannot speedily access the Scottish State Papers 13/2 and would be interested to learn how this was accessed. I am not convinced that the William who met in Scotland was the future 4th Lord and am minded that the Sir William was indeed his uncle, brother of Ralph..
