I have removed most of the content on this entry because: (a) much of it is non-encyclopedic, and (b) all of it is unreferenced.

It is possible that the subject of this biographical entry wrote much of the material. In such a case, this is simply self-promotion. Sutphen.david (talk) 05:23, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

David: William Percy did not write this article about himself, I wrote it about 2 years ago and I see that it has been edited/improved by a number of other Wikipedia users. I hope you will not object if I address your concerns with some additional references (there are many -- he is a significant figure in gay/lesbian historical circles) and then restore that part of the previous content that can be supported by independent references. --Ed (talk) 21:33, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

9-2-2012: Reverted drastic cuts made by user "Sutphen.david" on Apr. 1, which were not justified. (The encyclopedic content is sourced and verified and has been vetted by several Wikipedia editors). Sutphen.david never replied to questions on this talk page. With regard to notability and length, numerous gay activist figures of far lesser impact have Wikipedia articles that are many times the length of this brief one. There is a tendency for younger figures in gay activism, as well as history and literary circles, to be covered more copiously than older but still living individuals who have had more impact over a longer period of time.
