To improve this biographical article a starting point would be to add: place of birth, education (high school and beyond), military service, early (pre-baseball prospectus) career history, current place of residence. After that, more information highlighting the substance, method, and impact of Carroll's books and other writings (beyond just the titles as listed) and other writings.
