Header : removing the dash[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. The school district's website footer which displays their name still uses the hyphen.

As a parent of a student attending this school. I have the following edits. The article is about the Wilber Clatonia Public School District. The heading should change. At the very least the dash should be removed as it is not part of the official name. http://www.wilberclatonia.org/ You'll notice the dash in the official website was removed also. The footer at the school's website states

2019 Wilber-Clatonia Public Schools. Because website footers often display legal information, the name as it's shown there may, arguably, be thought of as more official than that of the name displayed in other areas of an organization's website. When an institution changes its name and/or branding, that footer is usually the last thing to be changed. It's at that time when a change to the name in Wikipedia should be considered. That consideration rests heavily on how the majority of sources (who are independent of the institution) refer to the institution, rather than how the institution refers to itself. That being said, the hyphen is such a minor change I'm sure it could be accommodated here in Wikipedia eventually. But as the footer of their own website still shows the hyphen, I don't see much impetus for changing it now. Regards, Spintendo 21:51, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri_County_Public_Schools This is our competitor school. They don't have a high school wiki article, they just have the public schools page. I believe that the Wilber-Clatonia High School article should be renamed Wilber Clatonia Public Schools, just like Tri County's. 72.15.161.9 (talk) 20:22, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
