I dont even understand why anyone would find it necessary to delete Whiteman AFB wiki. That's absolutely unfathomable with the history of the base and the current usage (B-2)

Pretty much the entire History section is plagiarized[edit]

Most of the History section is verbatim copy-pasted from the official Whiteman AFB website. Should this removed, and start from scratch? JimKaatFan (talk) 20:29, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since it’s from public domain, that’s actually okay. The issue is when it becomes a copyright violation.Garuda28 (talk) 21:16, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So it's still a copyright violation, and should be removed? Or at least rewritten? I'm still not clear on this. JimKaatFan (talk) 14:19, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since it’s from a government page there is no copy right violation, meaning removal isn’t required. However, rewriting may not be a bad idea. If you still feel there is a copy right violation, I would bring it up with an administrator to purge the edit log. Garuda28 (talk) 16:30, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I have no idea, that's why I asked. As for re-writing it, yeah, I just feel like there's a lot of superlatives and hyperbole in the copied text, way more than is appropriate for an encyclopedia. It's what made me suspect that it had been copied from somewhere else in the first place. JimKaatFan (talk) 17:50, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
