Fair use rationale for Image:XTC White Music.jpg[edit]

Image:XTC White Music.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Move?[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page not moved per discussion below. This is the primary topic for White Music, it would seem. It would be reasonable to adjust the hatnote to point directly to both other albums, rather than obliging readers to get there via a disambiguation page. - GTBacchus(talk) 04:35, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

White MusicWhite Music (XTC album) — Disambiguate per Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums#Naming memphisto 10:46, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[Note: Above was moved here from WP:Requested moves#Contested requests by a third editor]

And I see that it was me who moved the article before, my mistake.
  • Opposer – Per MOS:ALBUM it states "Do not pre-emptively disambiguate! When there is no other encyclopedic use of the album title, the article should reside at the normal name, e.g. London Calling, not London Calling (album)." There is no reason to disambiguate since this is the only article with "White Music". gu1dry • ¢  18:55, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per evidence of several albums of the same name. 65.95.15.116 (talk) 05:04, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment the disambiguation page only lists these three albums, but what about "caucasian music" and European music as meanings for "white music" ? 65.95.15.116 (talk) 05:04, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Current title generally gets around 2000-2500 hits per month; the other two get 300-400 between them. No great reason to disadvantage the majority of people looking for the current target by making them click twice. Black Kite (t) (c) 19:28, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
