Order change 06/12/2008[edit]

I alphabetized the "Notably Whelan's" section. No changes to content made.--Legomancer (talk) 13:35, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seagull[edit]

The similarly sounding word 'faoilean' is Irish for seagull. Has the possible alternative (or indeed dual) origin been ruled out academically or simply just because all those people called Whelan etc. would rather think of themselves as being named after "little wolves"? It would be nice to see some supporting evidence (what there is of it) rather than a straight-forward assertion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.134.204.205 (talk) 01:48, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DAB?[edit]

Is this considered to be a DAB page? Does the one-good-wikilink-per-entry rule apply here? 107.77.204.81 (talk) 04:34, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
