External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on West Lothian. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Split proposal[edit]

Although the current article is not so large nor so confusing to urgently require a split, I suggest separating into historic West Lothian / Linlithgowshire and modern West Lothian local authority area, since there is a clear difference in their size and scope, and a clear point at which the newer entity was formed (i.e as a district in 1975). A few other entities with the same name but different boundaries, primarily Aberdeenshire and Renfrewshire, have been dealt with in this way. I will suggest the same for Midlothian, which has far more dramatically different borders. Crowsus (talk) 11:11, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seems a reasonable idea given the historic boundaries and would not oppose the split.

Agreed. It works for Aberdeenshire and Renfrewshire and I see no reason why this would be any different. Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 15:33, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
