Copyright violations by Gregfuller[edit]

Gregfuller recently added a large chunk of text to the article, but most of it seems to be copied from other sources. The first "History" paragraph looks like it was copied verbatim from this April 2005 article, except that "WestPoint Stevens" has been changed to "WestPoint Homes" [sic]; the following ten paragraphs seem to be copied verbatim from this page on fundinguniverse.com, except that "WestPoint Stevens" has been changed to "WestPoint Home", the typo "throughMerger" has been corrected, and the typo "canvas -type" has been added. Here's a link from archive.org showing that fundinguniverse.com had the text long before it was added to Wikipedia.

I've reverted those additions. The remaining three paragraphs seem to be original, but I've reverted them as well to be safe; please feel free to add that text back if you think the article is better that way.  --mconst (talk) 01:17, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In Popular Culture[edit]

The Stevens Mill in Roanoke Rapids, NC, is apparently now closed. When did that happen? Ultimate consequences of unionization should be mentioned. Virgil H. Soule (talk) 17:05, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

J.P. Stevens founding date[edit]

The J.P. Stevens company appears to have been founded in 1899 although J.P. Stevens family had been in the textile business since the earlier date. RichardBond (talk) 01:04, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
