Proposed move: to Wenlock Priory[edit]

I suggest that this page be moved to Wenlock Priory. This name is used by English Heritage ([1]), BBC Shropshire ([2]) and Virtual Shropshire ([3]). Shropshire Tourism does use "Much Wenlock Priory" at the head of its page, but prefers the shorter form elsewhere ([4]). For what it's worth, I live in Worcestershire, and have always called it by the shorter name unless I specifically need to tell someone where it is. You're almost certainly right. Although the Much Wenlock entry claims the town in contradistinction to Little Wenlock, it is widely thought that Much is actually a reference to the monastery. If this is true, it would be a pleonasm to refer to the monastery as Much Wenlock Priory. Whether this is so or not, I've never seen it referred to in these terms except in Wikipedia and other places obviously derived from it.Sjwells53 (talk) 18:53, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re-building[edit]

The text refers to an early 14th-Century re-building of the church, but according to Pevsner the latest data for substantial visible remains is 1240. I have amended accordingly. I plan to add more detail on the buildings, but for now I think what is there is supported by the citations, and I have removed the cn templates.
