Fair use rationale for Image:USAWL.JPG[edit]

Image:USAWL.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Writer's Strike[edit]

Now that there's this writer's strike over here in the US they should bring this show back. I mean if they still do it in the UK why can't they do it over here anymore?151.204.26.102 (talk) 05:21, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode summary[edit]

Is it even necessary to put a table of the game results per episode? I don't think this is needed. HiwilmsTalk 01:33, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanting to note in regards to this edit, I know it's already been reverted, but either way, IMDb can't be used as a source per WP:RS/IMDb and WP:Citing IMDb.
In regards to the tables being needed or not, I honestly have no clue. They'd definitely be allowed once episodes have aired, as the episode then cites itself per WP:V, but some other user's input more familiar with the show would be good. I have not seen the original series, and I have yet to see any of Lynch 2020 reboot (I have them on my DVR, hoping to watch them soon!) Magitroopa (talk) 18:43, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Traditionally game show results have not been listed on Wikipedia (at least that's what I've seen been reverted/not common in my almost 6 years). Personally I think they fall under WP:INDISCRIMINATE. As we should be sticking to info in articles that give context/summary, what do readers learn about the series from detailed episode-by-episode results? There's fandom pages for these kinds of information. For example, there's no tables of results for Jeopardy! episodes or Celebrity Family Feud or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Note that this is different from competition shows like American Idol or The Amazing Race where tables actually give context for the progression of the season and act as a plot section (that would be present if it were a drama series, for example) in a visual form. But... the whole thing for Weakest Link is confined to one episode. Do people actually care if Angel voted for Danny?? I would totally support the removal of these tables. (I would also support for I Can See Your Voice but that's another article...) Heartfox (talk) 19:28, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with all comments above. I have never seen so much detail for one episode of one game show. This page will become massive as more shows are added. Also, I believe this is the work of one main editor. What will happen when that editor loses interest or goes on vacation? We will be left with an incomplete detailed episode section.MicroManagingAH (talk) 06:30, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We've had this discussion many times before with other game show articles. Season charts of each episode's plot are only used in reality competition where said plot develops over weeks. Game shows are typically one-and-dones, as is this one. I'm also in favor of removing the list of episodes. --Bcschneider53 (talk) 06:35, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
