Re: Number of episodes in Waybuloo[edit]

Hi. I have reverted a recent IP edit which removed/reversed correctly sourced information on this page - there are 100 episodes to the Waybuloo series, as stated by the show's creators at www.absolutelycuckoo.com - I know we only have 50 listed, but I will ask please that this information is not removed again. The website says that 100 episodes have been commisioned. It might be better to find a citation that actually lists all 100 episodes just to remove any ambiguity but either way the IP shouldn't be reverting your actions because at least you are providing a citation. Thanks for that, Jdrewitt :) It is cited on the website that there are 100 episodes, not just the claim that they have been commissioned - I quote from the section "Our TV Stuff" - "We are the creators of Waybuloo, a 100-episode, landmark preschool show for the BBC, produced by Foundation/RDF. I did amend that reference to be a working link, but was almost put off doing so due to the scary "amend this in any way and be banned" message beside it. Fully protected?[edit]

Also, why is this page fully protected in the first place? I see there is some content dispute but really this is predominently an IP user removing cited information, so might be a case for semi-protection but full protection ? As far as I can tell no users have been warned or blocked for edit warring and I see no discussion (apart from above) regarding this content dispute. Fully protected is MORE than I requested. All I asked for was Temporary Semi protection or for PC to be applied. I didn't ask for full protection on the request, which you can see here. Its rediculous, by persistently removing cited information the IP users edits are simply vandalism. There is no content dispute here. Sometimes persistent vandalism requires an article be semi-protected and this would have been the correct course of action in this case. Waybuloo Series 2 is now live and airing[edit]

Hi. I just thought I'd leave this here and let those of you interested know that Waybuloo series 2, the subject of the disputes here previously, has gone live and is presently airing on the CBeebies channel on Sky, and I am now collecting a list of episodes in the second series to add to this article. Yes, that's absolutely fine. I note that you did stop at the correct one, the last episode of S2 to air was number 20, Carrotbeet Day. I'm watching the episode schedules and iPlayer, and will add further ones as they are shown. Incidentally, as an afterthought, I'm going to apply for this page to be placed on Pending Changes so that we can stop problems like that appearing in the page. Criticism[edit]

I was expecting to read here something about their seeming inability to speak in proper sentences, or use real words, which can't be good for impressionable toddlers who are trying to pick up sentence construction. It appears that there has been some biased editing concerning the criticism of Waybuloo. Previously this article showed Christian groups lodging their complaint. These criticism have been backed up with links to various articles. Right or wrong it is their belief however freedom of expression is required and not edited/deleted. Various groups have publicised their criticism of the show and CBeebies' has promptly responded however this section has been deleted. The complaint is public domain and should be noted encyclopaedic as an event that has happened with the following response and should not be deleted as it it reflected negatively towards the show. --Throttler (talk) 00:21, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not at all, I removed the criticism section because the sources did not adhere to wikipedia policy WP:RS, they were self published. I haven't found such complaints in reliable secondary sources. Criticism sections are often added to articles but very rarely actually add anything of note and often fail our neutral point of view policy WP:NPOV. The fact that some religious groups have criticised this tv program on their own website is not noteworthy enough to include in this article.Polyamorph (talk) 08:52, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Series 2 episode list almost complete[edit]

Barring the absence of 4 episodes which haven't aired, and one without a title (as explained by the footnote on the episode list), most of that is now pretty much completed. I've updated the remainder from this list and will add that as a source to the article. If anyone knows what the titles of the missing episodes are, you're welcome to fill them in.
