I went to Horace Mann as a 6th grader in the 1980-1981 school year. In the article, it said that Horace Mann was closed after the 1978-1979 school year. I remember that year, because I broke my leg during recess in either September or October of 1980. Also I remember that our class had a mock election between Ronald Regan, Jimmy Carter, and John B. Anderson. I also remember Mr. Briggs trying to recruit future Whitmer Panther football players by showing us a film of a game between Whitmer and Cincinnati Moeller that year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.241.94.125 (talk) 19:14, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
